When It's My Turn To Leave

What will you do when I leave you in kind, Though you’re treasured like apples and boon to the mind... How to handle the fading of dreams that we share? Favorite chair that’s seems empty and sad, Or a poem that vivified both mom and dad... Think of dawns you awoke and discovered me there! Can death be real or is it too a dream... And does life always stay in the bed of its stream? Might the future still have some new trick up its sleeve? Love seems quite real though it cannot be seen... Even winter plays role on a planet that’s green, I’m expecting surprise when it’s my turn to leave. Long Tooth December 9, 2016
