WHEN IT COMES TO JESUS CHRIST
before He took his first breath
they wanted Him dead
A childhood full of ostracism
despair and dread
I can only imagine the anguish
He experienced in life
when it comes to our Messiah
Jesus the Christ
wise beyond His years
full of godly grace
despite miracles He performed
He was never truly embraced
I can only imagine the anguish
He experienced in life

He lived by faith
an uncompromising trust in God
He lived as a minimalist
yet a tremendous love He did impart
He championed for the least
He challenged those with the most
He was God In the flesh
the manifestation of the Holy Ghost

Jesus the Christ
a teacher, a preacher
ensconced with a holy mission
The Son of Man, The Great I Am
advancing the Great Commission
I can only imagine the anguish
He experienced in life

He was denied, He was decried
He was tried as a threat to the status quo
the Prince of Peace
who by His own Disciples was brought low
wise beyond His years
full of godly grace
despite miracles performed
by the people never embraced
a champion for the least
He challenged those with the most
Jesus
God In the flesh
