When Is Enough, Ever Enough
We know you have this time,
it's never enough.
When all you have is demands,
there's never time for anything
else.
Every second there is a need.
Every minute there is a death.
Every hour a smile goes sour.
Every day time just ticks away.
We don't notice it
We're to busy living in the
moment.
Alarm clocks go off every hour
of the day everyday
Cars fly down streets trying to
beat the clock, to be on time
Phones ring nonstop with
unanswered questions and
people too irritated to answer
when asked.
Anger rises when things don't
go our way,
That's how it is during this day
and age.
Take a step back
Look at everything, from black
to white.
A time stood still
A time less advanced.
A time when money and greed
weren't important.
Look back to when family's had
time for each other.
Look back to when holidays
were a time to reunite.
So blinded by the needs and
wants of the now, forgetting
the attention of those needing
our love and affection.
Every second happiness turns
to anger over a minor thing.
Every minute a need is
unfulfilled from the lack of
knowledge.
Every hour someone is
forgotten, alone, scared.
Every day wastes between rush
and greed, the wants and
needs.
Every month a family falls
apart because they don't pay
attention to those who need
them most.
Every year, time is just never
enough.
