Notes About The Poem

If you have any modicum of intelligence, and can think for yourself, then you have responsibility.

When I'M Looking In the Mirror

When I'm Looking in the Mirror

When I'm looking in the mirror
Do I like the one I see?
Am I looking at a person
Who has responsibility?

Or do I look at one
Who can never be at fault?
Keeping my responsibility
Locked up securely in a vault

Is that someone's reflection
Behind the one I see?
Then I could give myself a reason
For not pointing right at me

But there is no reflection
Except the one that's me
So I should go unlock the vault
And take my responsibility
