When I'M Gone
Now think about this really long and hard:
I ask you these questions to not throw you off guard.
How will you remember me when I'm gone?
Would you pay tribute to me in a song?
What will you say to my family and friends?
Would you describe me as a friend to the end?
Can you reminisce about the great times we shared?
Did you think I was a person who cared?
Did I have a good heart? Was I there when you called?
And am I a wonderful person overall?
Would you say I'm the best part of your life?
If I'm no longer around, would it hurt like a knife?
I hope you'll find good things to say
If, God forbid, I should pass away.
But for now, I want to make this clear:
Let's enjoy each other while we're still here.
