When I Write

When I Write
Kevin Davis 2025

When I write the things I need to say,
The words seem to fall in a gentle way.
But when I try to live what I intend,
I stumble on pieces I cannot mend.

So, I turn to the page—steady and true,
A light in my heart, a clearer view.
And if these words should echo in you,
Perhaps you’ve felt the same way, too.

It helps to know I’m not alone,
That others share the thoughts I’ve known.
Together we walk, side by side,
With kindred hearts and eyes open wide.
