When I Was Younger

When I was younger I would wish my brother to death
Today, I love him to death
When I was younger God wasnt even a thought in my head
Now I think of him everynight before I go to bed
When I was younger I would cry for hours at a time
Now I don't think I've cried since i was the age of nine
When I was younger I wished for every toy I could see
Today I wish for grades higher than a 90
When I was younger I thought my parents would live forever
Today I wish I'm not alive to bury my mother
Never thought of sex, rsce, or politics..Ha I thought the gayest was the color pink
Wow! its so crazy..... what i used to think

Well-expressed truths, Freddy...quite often, one can tell when poetry comes from the heart. I enjoyed this very much! Thanks for sharing it. Peace, Audrey
