When I Was a Kid
When I was a little kid,
my one dream I hid.
Dad said girl's do housework, make meals,
take care of the family. Ok, no big deal.
Just because I am a woman doesn't mean
I cannot work on vehicle's. It's my dream.
I would slowly walk through the garage, see
Dad working on the car, but without me.
Back then, if a girl worked on a car she was strange.
Now these days, a lot of different things changed.
When I get a chance to help my man work on the truck, too,
I look forward to it, because that is what I love to do.
I love to strip down the car, before he does the paint job for someone.
Rip the engines apart, and do whatever he needs to have done.
But, I guess some dreams are just not meant to come true.
So go on in life doing the best I can at whatever I have to do.
