When I Put Pen To Paper

When I put pen to paper,
The ink proves what's on my mind,
My dreams and desires,
Never knowing what I'll find.
The ink flows freely,
My head clears of any fears,
The pain in my heart eases,
My words cease my tears.
Memories of all my yesterdays,
Hopes for all my tomorrows,
Ecstasy towards my joys,
Pain caused by my sorrows.
Words spoke from anger,
Feelings of sheer pride,
Immortalised into words,
The ones I just can't hide.
When I put pen to paper,
It's not quite where I begin,
They form and grow internally,
Then I invite you in.

Hi Akkina. Thank you for your kind words. Writing is my Happy place, even when I don't feel it when I begin. I know by the time I finish, I will be. Hugs :)

Oh Daniel, thank you, you've made my day. Especially after being verbally attacked yesterday on Facebook, by a person who told me one of my poems was grade school stuff and was only fit for a kids Valentine's card. He was so rude.... He gave it a 2 out of 10 and when I questioned him he changed it to a 1. I don't even know him. So, thank you so much for restoring my faith. :)

Don't sell yourself short. You are an amazing writer. People who don't read, don't know what they're missing:)

Thank you once again Daniel. I often write, however I sometimes feel they're not good enough for the Soup. :)
