When I Knew Nothing

When I knew nothing
Life was only living
Not the battle I fight now
Different from what life sees today

When I knew nothing
I couldn't see the lies behind the truth
What was up and what was down was unknown
The things that were most important didn't matter

When I knew nothing
Everything made sense
There was nothing in my way
But now I know
When I knew nothing
