When I Die

When I close my eyes to death
And when I take my final breath
I will hold time itself in my hands

And when by body is laid to rest
And I embark on my final quest
I will ride the echoes that cross the lands

I will spread my wings and fly away
And rage to seize this final day
While I touch the ember stars in the sky

My thriving shadow leads the way
And there are no more words to say
It is the secret rhythm that lives after we die
