When I Am Old

When I Am Old

Oh, Heaven help me when I'm old
To do those things that I was told

(to do them or to do them not
much like a play without a plot)

Remind me which is right and wrong
And fill my heart with love and song

Let all my days bestow some good
Still helping others as I should...

My mind still sharp, my hands still strong
With purpose as I trudge along

My journey spent without remorse
And know that I have stayed my course.
