When I Am Done I Am Done

fish, lizard, rainbow, cat, pirate, witch,
hat, broom, Peter Pan, Jesus, gypsy, flowers,
starfish, mermaid, peddler man, drums, 

monsters, angels, faeries, fish, babies, raccoons,
skunk, hot air balloons, tree woman, Native Americans,
Mexicans, dream catchers, keyboards, stars, dragons,
chair, TV, Christmas lights, wizard, heart, sun, moon.

Can you guess what I am doing or where I am?

I am glancing around at my paintings in the guest room.
castle, queen, coffee cup, flying pigs, pirate queen, spider,
warrior woman, aliens, upside down girl, bumble bees.

Most of my guests are too fascinated to go to sleep quickly.
These walls are saturated with my paintings.  I truly must
admit I am a little fascinated myself.  When I am done, I
am done. I hope I am not completely done, but I might be.

Yes, if I stop creating, I have ceased to be the me that we both know I have to be, and you have to be. Like your husband says "you are the best at being you".Right?Write!

We have it all over the place; I count 77 paintings in the living room, all mine. If I could figure out how to get them to stay on the ceiling that would be my next place.

Caren, what a list ... of paintings.. I sometimes wish I did have all the paintings that I had created. But I would run out of storage. :) I started drawing since I was maybe 10 or younger. It always calmed me. Happy Holidays .. Hugs Eve ~`*

I have found out that some of my poetry inspires me to draw or paint. As you saw my lighthouse ink, I've started 2 oil small canvas of another light house and a small galleon ship. They are just fast paintings , but it might lead me back to my big canvases and detail work.

Thank you Eve. My granddaughter who is now 13 is quite the artist. I used to buy canvases for her and watch her paint. One day when she was 9 she begged me to pant with her. I make canvases for my friends. I LOVE to paint. I am out of ideas since I started poetry,but wait, maybe not. I have created two new sketches since noon yesterday. Happy Holidays, Eve.

I have never figured out how to add the picture. I have had step by step directions by several well-meaning friends, but I get bored by step three and give up.

I share it with myself a lot. I used to sell them but then I realized with horror that each one was a reminder of how much fun I had creating them, and I wanted them back so now I keep them. My house is living proof of my love for my cartoons paintings. For they are all cartoons, painted in neons and psychedelic colors.
