When God Called Me

When God Called Me…

When God called me…  
I didn’t know what to expect!
The words he spoke to my heart.  I won’t forget!

What God said to me….  I remember so vividly.
He woke me up in the night so unexpectedly!

When God awoke me.  I “jumped out of bed.”
I wanted to hear what his spirit said.

What God wanted for me…  Was to follow him!
I wanted to obey and trust him as my friend!

What God desired was to have a faithful heart!
He was there for me…  
Right from the start!

My wordly possessions…  I left behind!
A new treasure in Christ…  I did find!

Many of my “past habits” begin to leave me…
As I felt God’s awesome love all around me!

My thoughts and attentions were decided.
Everything I needed...  
 God provided!

I’ve chosen to follow him 100 percent!
Fellowship with my creator,
is time well spent!

He is my beloved and I am his!
He is with me each day I live!

Won’t you beckon his spirit’s call?
Living for Jesus makes it worth it all!
