When Every Daughters Cry Is Constant
When we realize our daughter is crying,
Head fast we rush to resolve it immediately,
Engaging in questions of who why and when,
Never actually realizing she is always hurt.
Every night you come home too drunk,
Voicing your anger on all that moves,
Endangering our lives trying to cook drunk,
Ridiculing our homestead to the community,
You should lead by example not a sample.
Domestic violence has become a daily order,
Amidst the cool suburban lifestyle created,
Understanding what the violence is all about,
Gives an impression that our home is no more,
Hate rents the air like a volcanic eruption,
Tearing the love that was in our presence,
Even our brother understands and he is young,
Remember a family that prays together,
Stays together like a bonded chain.
Cease the war and try to understand the agony,
Rethink the life and redeem the lost love,
You can only live once try and make it work.
Include us in your life and get to know us,
Simply listen and understand our constant tears.
Constantly we beg and make you listen about us,
Our relationships how they prospered or failed,
Needing your attention to give us great advice,
Sensing our pain when we fail or pass in examinations,
Temptations run the world like a wild fire,
And all we require is a shoulder to lean on,
Not the constant quarrel between two lovers,
Think about us and here we crying for help.
