When Dreams Riot

a mass rebellion
against fears of yesterday
hardcore promotion
of dreams that wouldn't stay
                a riotous screaming
                protesting my doubts
                once again I'm dreaming
                and following the shouts
of the crowd in my mind
the audiences in my heart
reminding me of the plan I designed
and begging me to start
                resurrecting my passion
                demanding the fulfillment of desires
urging me to no longer ration
                the embers of old fires
instead encourage their burning
until they become a blaze
finally act on my yearning
and break out of this daze

A passionate piece Christy. I enjoyed your poem as it reminds me of the quote 'to thine own self be true' 7 ;+)

It hard to convince ourselves to leave the safety of the group/crowd and venture out to seek what we really desire. The message in this piece is deep and eye opening and I enjoyed it very much. The first steps are the hardest, but often when not taken we find regret becomes our company. Really cool Christy.
