When Diamonds Are Born

When diamonds are born they're named after you
For you're the most precious thing on this earth
You're the most priceless thing, that God ever made
Diminishing the diamond's worth

You're even the reason that God made smiles
For without you they wouldn't exist
The sun even smiles when he sees you walk by
For he simply just couldn't resist

God made the oceans as blue as your eyes
Not the other way around
And I was the lost that no one could find
Until you became my found

Even the rose petals become your reflection
For that's the only reason they grow
They even asked God to be as special as you
But He simply told them no

Some might even say that I'm a little selfish
For I won't even let people stare
But when the Good Lord above gave me your love
He told me never to share
