In early morn, no dewdrops adorn Lacy fern-leaf fennel We're in a drought, and raindrops I mourn As miraculously is born A Fuchsia zinnia one sweet morn Through a crack, so gentle How can it survive and seem to thrive? With limited water No dew adorns, sun arrives Temperatures way past ninety-five It seems Satan has a plan contrived To make earth dry, hotter We'd prefer dewdrops 'pon roses Cool gardens with basil Those fragrances that tickle noses Fills the eyes, which none opposes Butterflies 'pon lily poses Dewdrops reflect, dazzle!

Yes, it is his plan... But with Jesus, we will never thirst. Excellent poem. I enjoyed this one very much. Ann

Thank you, Kim. Yes, this early heat plus we have not had rain to amount to much in several months. We had a couple of showers but not near enough to make up for what we had not had. My husband is watering the garden to keep the plants alive and maybe get a little food from all the money invested in the plants, seeds, fertilizer and time. I appreciate the time spent here reading and taking time to comment. Sara

Sarra, your poem is a wonderful illustration of the dews phenomenon. The day was filled with beautiful sights from nature. How rapidly does nature manage to transform her appearance? I wish you the best of luck in the contest. And thanks for your comment on my page

Thank you, Sotto, for dropping by. I appreciate the time spent here. We still are dry where I live, and it will be hot again today, but the humidity is not bad again today which makes it more comfortable. Starting tomorrow the humidity is supposed to go up and also the temperature which will be much more uncomfortable. I hope for rain. Sara
