When Daylight Comes

The morning shows when light comes forth
The darkness it must flee
The birds sing out their songs so sweet
It seems they're serenading me

A burst of color in skies appear
As night must now soon end
The heaven seems to be ablaze
Just as the first light does descend

Each plant looks up to heavens rays
With leaves that wait anew
The dew that's on the ground will now
Give a drink so true

The cloak of darkness we call night
Has finally fled away
For life has woken to the light
That God has sent our way
