When Dawn Breaks
The moon shines black before dawn
Birds won't sing their morning song
Clouds darken against an eerie sky
Instinct tells you something’s awry
A mist rolls in on oceans tide
There is no place safe to hide
Tower bells sound an alarm
Demons come to do you harm
Deep within a mountains core
An evil woke from days of yore
Broken is a spell once cast
Woven back in ancient past
Wicked walks in daylight hours
Fragrance’s gone from all the flowers
Evil no longer heeds the bell
Which bound it in an earthen cell
Shadow creatures, even more
All the things the mind abhors
Nightmares walk in light of day
Women and children sought as prey
Morning light they come in force
Taking lives without remorse
Peeling skin with dullest blade
Consuming flesh from skin flayed
As daytime finally comes to pass
Deaths toll continues to amass
The Grim Reaper, who has no face
Claims the dead, here in this place
Roaming earth at reapers will
To hunt and maim, torture and kill
As corpses begin to rot and smell
Your life is now a living hell
