When Baby Jesus Cried

The Baby cried, Oh-when the Baby cried. Shepherds began singing, their voices boomed in the sky. They sang, “Angel Gabriel spoke words of truth, Our lives will be delivered by this small youth.” “Praise the Lord for Christ has been born! Praise the Lord for Christ has been born.” When the Baby cried, tears of glass fell from his eyes. So Mary held the child, and softened his whines. And Baby Jesus filled the manger with silence, For he found peace in his mother’s presence. Mary, the mother of the Great I Am! The mother of the Great I Am. The mother of the Great I Am! The shepherds cherished this moment in their hearts, For they had traveled so far, led by faith and a shining star. They told stories of the miracle in Bethlehem, And all who heard were amazed by them. The Messiah, King of the Jews is here-he’s here! The Messiah, King of the Jews is here! The Messiah, King of the Jews is here! To the tune of: Silent Night
