When a Tear Is Shed
God bless the man
who can shed a tear or two
without fear
letting others see who he may be
exposing his inner soul
when his feelings well up
from deep within
what is it that makes a man a man
it’s having feelings acknowledging that others
have contributed to who you are and who you have become
knowing that you don’t stand alone
it’s the others who ever they maybe that carry you on their shoulders
with the love and pride that comes from deep inside
all men are capable of shedding a tear
but not every man can or will
be able to express his tenderness
and become the man God intended him to be
when tears fall upon your face
letting your humanness show through
that is God bestowing his grace on you
so I say again
God bless the man
who can shed his tears
in front of others for all to see
when he alone feels the love
of the many who have helped make him who he is
I pray someday that I will fulfill
Gods destiny for me
and be able to shed a tear or two
