When
When expectations wane
'Mad' love of the past
Becomes 'sane'
When no questions are asked
Love loses its charm
Just masked
With 'I love you' words
When promises are not kept
And it doesn't hurt
That means
Something has gone wrong somewhere
Unfortunately,
The fiery passion dies
What remains behind is
'Cold care'.
