What,S Your Story

"We all have a story to tell,
Some we know too well

Mostly for the pain we remember,
And the battles where we were worthy contenders

Curious though where they reside,
Locked away deep inside

Our own little chapter book,
Few are invited in to look

For social conversations aren’t meant to be sad,
But upbeat, positive and glad

Which is what most want to hear,
So I tell stories that are sincere

With just enough happiness and cheer,
So the black clouds don’t appear

Then there are those,
You can share your prose

Stories from that little book,
Understood with the first look

For there is freedom with expression,
When accepted without condescension

Grateful for those I can call friends,
And the shoulders that they lend"

Love your positivity! My poetry is a bit dark, so always turn to reading those of others for all the things you mention here. A really fine rhyme-scheme as well.
