What's Your Choice
Innocent eyes
Born to us all
Will keeep us safe
And far from harm
Blind to the wicked
The hard times and worry
The things we burden
And bear until it hurts
*But in one moment
Everthing changes
The wall is broken
And we are all alone*
Soon we take notice
To all we never knew
It was always there
But now its not so clean
The screams of sin
Drown out the purity
Painted in our souls
Tempting us to give in
Intoxicated youth
Is the point of our downfall
Making just one mistake
By doing what's wrong
Just one taste
Of the forbidden ways
Stains our lips
And fills us full
Such sweet poision
A new kind of feeling
May take al of this
If we let it
Yet lessons learned
May be enough
To make the choice
And stay straight
To avoid the darkness
No matter how much
You might want it
It's never worth it
* Over all
We can go down
Or we can stay even
How strong is your will *
The path we lay
In stepping stones
Of memories and moments
The life lived and not yet lived
When our hearts
Are soiled and dirty
Ask yourself if you like it
Or that you don't like being so heavy
The good, the bad, the closed
To open what's in your mind
Are your thoughts stirred and unfocused
Or vivid and collected
Innocent eyes will watch the shield
Fall, seeing the sins of corruption
But will you let it walk
Into the devils arms
A realizing reality
What may look good, doesn't
Always be the right for you
Look at the world
All around you,what surrounds you
See the lives before you
Where are you in the mix
Ask yourself this
Question after question
Find all possible outcomes
Then find yourown
