WHAT'S KEEPING ME FROM GIVING GOD THE GLORY
I've allowed the world and what society
Has to say
To cause me to have doubts
About my God Yahweh
I've forgotten the sacrifice
And the life that was given
Which allowed me to be victorious
And sinlessly living
Was keeping me from giving
God the glory
What has me forgetting
All he's done for me
I had dismissed the sacred blood that on
Mount Calvary with shed
I had denounce the daily bread that I
Was once fed
I don't want to be viewed as being spiritually
Estranged
But I've let society have my priorities
Become rearranged
Was keeping me from giving
God the glory
What has me forgetting?
All he's done for me
In my heart I now understand
And in my mind I now comprehend
That I shouldn't be controlled nor dictated
By mere Men
And I remember that my father
And my creator
Loves me and wants me
To be even greater
So today I vowed to meditate
Day and night
On his holy scriptures and follow
His guiding light
So what's keeping me from giving
God all the glory
What has me forgetting?
All he's done for me
For each morning I now wake up
I will give God all the praise
For allowing me to see
The sunrise each new day
On Christ, the solid Rock
And now firmly stand
No more clay feet
No more listening to man
My foundation's been restored
My testimony renewed
I now give God all the glory
And all that he is due
For nothing is no longer keeping me
From giving God the glory
And nothing will ever let me forget
All he's done for me
