What's In the Last For Me
“The last but not the least…!!!”
A phrase igniting varied expectations: shocked or pleased???
…Causing my heart to pound fast for final slot’s feast
Exclaiming “Thank, God, I’m in!” with elation’s increased!
“The last call for….!!!”
An invitation for me to engage with faith ever more
…Striving for meaningful pursuits to the core
While the Lord gives chance thru an opening service-door!
“The last five minutes…!!!”
Such pushes me to spend wisely time and its bits
…Accomplishing goals with gracious fits
Before clock strikes conclusion-hits!
“The last soul to hear Gospel preaching…!!!”
Imminent indeed thru the Spirit’s beseeching
…Reminding me of hope-anchored Christian teaching
For Christ’s second coming toward eternity’s launching!
The last days* are here along signs of times of no delays!!!
This is what the Bible asserts and reality displays
…Revealing perilous situations in many ways
Thus, I’m urged to trust the Saviour always and live for His praise!
*Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh.
