Inspired by the song "What'll I Do" as sung by Judy Holliday

What’ll you do if I’m far away? You’ll do the same as me. You’ll wish we could be together, As close as we could be. Am I so far away? Am I not in your heart? Does our love fade away and die, Just because we are apart? The kisses I gave you Were love I saved for all time; And I’m hoping your next kiss… Yes, your next kiss…will also be mine. Please dream of me. Dream of me with you…I do. For if we never dream, Those dreams cannot come true. What’ll you do? Please keep me in your heart. What’ll I do? I'll wish we never had to part. Submitted to the "Sing to Me" contest Inspired by the Billy Holliday rendition of "What'll I Do?"

Hi, Robert. I absolutely love this poem. I know which song inspired this piece, but if you could, at the bottom of this poem, please name my contest and the song that inspired this piece so when I judge the contest, I won't make a mistake or get confused. Poems with no song reference are not going to be considered for placement in my contest and you have a good contender here and I would hate to accidentally disqualify you during my judging process. Thanks! :) ~JTAP

Done. It was a beautiful rendition of "What'll I Do" and I am an absolute sap for much of the music 20s -40s. My Mother used to say I was born 20 years too late, that I would have made a great "sappy lyracist". I am a real sap for early Disney themes as well; particularly, "When You Wish Upon A Star". Hell, when he turns into a real boy, I blubber like a baby....at 68. Thanks for the encouragement.
