What you should have done

You knew where I was
you saw my face
you knew where to find me
but you never came
you knew I was alone
you knew I was in pain
but you never moved a finger
to keep me safe...

And I don't cry your death
I cry the seed
the one you left to die
in the streets
I cry the emptiness
you left in me
all what you should have done
but never did.
