Politics L.M.H

Learn from your elders
a wise old Q-tip

When veryone gets treated equally
as an individual based on
this fact or premise

That one's deeds and actions
meeted out to other's are reciprocal
in kind

So cometh the day the good and
caring aretruly blessed and 1st in
every que

And those of opposite persuasion
hopefully have eye's to spare

Or in the back of their head

Answer the question

What i really want

Is like what Martin Luther King said

I also have a dream

For when the day comes when
a single politician or political
party

Makes and turns this vision of utopia
into a Boniface reality

And this question poses becomes
redundant

I hope this clears my politics up

First and foremost respect and
learn from your elders

And put to good use and
utilize their experience
and worldly knowledge

As it can only benefit future
generations to come

If god willing they have the
humility to listen

Rather than name and shame
oblivious to the facts

Congratulations Christopher on making the podium, with this very level headed poem, of what you really want, and it’s not out of reach, if we would only listen to our experienced elders, especially in our teenage years, cheers David

With reading Milton and your interaction this piece takes on new meaning. I would have placed it higher but you forgot to list your political affiliation at the bottom of your poem. I do thank you for your entry. Blessings Rick.

Cheers much obliged Richard and appreciate you taking the time to read and place my poem greatly. As per usual my entry missed was incorrect or failed to meet the criteria set. My political affiliation is hard to align with or to any political party or agenda sadly. Because unfortunately none in reality seem to be or do any good. Self , self , self and greed seem to be the order of the day once in power. Both afflicted and affiliated to Cynicism maybe that's mine

This is much better, Christopher. Now, I feel like you are interested in learned from your elders and not criticizing. I'm glad I could help you. I appreciate you, and I enjoy reading your poems!

Christopher, I think this "poem" rant was totally unnecessary, but I'll leave it at that. I was offended by your attack on those of us who might be considered "elderly" now. Good Luck!

Other way around L.H.M i must have not got my point across. I was ranting against young people dismissing the elderly not the other way around sorry
