What Would My Daddy Say

What would my Daddy say
If he were alive and living today
Shocked no doubt with the world's state
Too much for him to digest and contemplate

What would my Daddy say
If he came back to earth for a day
Wouldn't believe he'd have to stay inside
Knock him sideways and break his stride

What would my Daddy say
If he returned he'd see mass decay
Surprised for sure to see so many changes
Masks worn by his friends and strangers

What would my Daddy say
If only he could I would be okay
Is he better off living behind heavens door ?
The world he left is so very different for sure

I think we can all say this about our parents and grandparents. I'm so often reminded of how much the world has changed since I was a kid. Gee, the geography has changed from most of what I learned in elementary school. Thanks for sharing. Yep, I wonder what my dad would say! He'd probably just have a few drinks and forget about it.
