What Will All the Children Do
What will all the children do?
What will all the children do?
Christmas will be late,
When Father Christmas goes abroad,
He’s told “self-isolate,”
Norway is his first stop off
Then a two week rest,
Cannot fly away to France
Until his covid test,
Two more weeks of waiting,
Another test complete,
But then he’ll find they’re out of date,
Bags of rotting sweets.
Self-isolate again and again,
Through China and Japan,
But he’ll fly throughout the world
The fastest that he can,
So dear English children
Please don’t start to cry,
Christmas will come and visit you,
Sometime in July!
