What We Know

It's a constant barrage coming at us, all the
    Information feeding us to consume.
So much so, that there's plenty of leftovers and scraps,
And we start looking for the shovels and a broom.

Yet it has recently had some confidence shaken,
As ' fake news ' has rippled and ravaged the days events.
Where now the story may get a second coat of embellishment,
With some opinion added on top of the dissents.

This has transformed ' journalistic integrity ' into a catch phrase,
Only spoken when there's a need to satisfy.
Leaving many to question what was once thought as owned,
Instead of temporarily rented, never to buy.

So we're left with some serious critical thinking,
As we wade through all sorts of needless noise.
While seeking what's buried in the underlying story,
Allowing the information to be carried forward with poise.
