What We Had

melt with me
into this blanket sea
find that susnshine under the covers
the kind sparked by two lovers

search for that place beneath the pillow
take my hand in yours and baby we'll go
beyond the edge in your heart
where all those good things start

your love can keep me warm
but let our bodies do it during the storm
sheets entangled together like childhood dreams
let me kiss you while you look up at the ceiling beams

this is the love we made
here in this bed we laid
i can't wait untill we meet again
bring the benefits with you my lifelong friend
