What Was I To Do To the One Who Called Me

What was I to do? To the one who called me?
How do I explain it?
To the one who loves me?

I heard him calling my name “way back when.”
The times God has helped me.
I don’t know where to begin!

His voice beckoned a message.
A message of hope.
At the time, my life was on a “slippery slope.”

God reached down and brought strength and comfort.
He did this for me, though I made no effort!

He’s with me each day and I seek his gentle voice.
Whatever happens in life…
 HE is my first choice!

He’s never disappointed me on any occasion!
And has brought to me his love and salvation!

All of my praise goes to Jesus, whom I love so much.
Just the hem of his garment
is what I want to touch!

Thank you my Lord for your glory divine!
I’m glad to be yours,
and glad you’re mine!

You bring nourishment to me and bless my soul!
I will praise your name…
Wherever I go!
