What Voice Do You Heed

The subtle internal darkness
Whispers sweet lies to my waiting ears
To believe in things i never should
And play upon my fears
My thoughts are sorted and processed
Distinguishing whats wrong and right
So i dont get swallowed by the evil
Its a never ending fight.
I watch atrocities accross the globe
Of those who succumb to wicked lies
They know not what God they serve
As another innocent child sadly dies
When we all stand before our Creator
And the cold truth will be revealed
You will be judged by what voice you heeded
And yor eternal fate will be sealed.

Wow, I got to be careful with the darkness. I like how you spill the light to come forward. The ending says it all. Carl, enjoyed the poem....Linda
