What They Do

Father, forgive them
For they know not
What they do
I have on clothes
But it seems
To them that
I’m scantily clad.
To be on your team,
I’m oh so glad.
They treat me so bad
Not realizing that
I belong to you
I will lie down
My life to serve You
That is what I’m
Designed to do
Yes, I feel blue
They are kicking
my butt I know
I have to go through
This only for the glory
Of You and for your
Children to win
And not for the
World’s sin
To be continued
To be taken in
Strengthen me for
The battle
And let me not
Be rattled by Satan’s silliness,
While I do God’s business.
Father, forgive them
For they know not
What they do
I have on clothes
But it seems
To them that
I’m scantily clad.
To be on your team,
I’m oh so glad.
They treat me so bad
Not realizing that
I belong to you
I will lie down
My life to serve You
That is what I’m
Designed to do.

Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing." And the soldiers
gambled for his clothes by throwing dice.” Luke 23:34
