What Should I Be

If I were a bird to be Which one would I choose, let me see Should I be a high flying eagle My ambition drawing upwards the lowly people Else I could be a silky white dove Wandering in search of the elusive love I’d rather be a colourful parakeet And wish good morning to all I would meet A bright yellow canary Would sing to the lost one, a sweet lovely melody If I were to choose a proud peacock My feathers I would spread in dance and to the jungle tune rock A mocking bird would complete the feat And mimick the world to its own beat But I would never ever want to be a greedy raven Whose black feathers speak of a dishonest haven.
