Thanks Alexis but this is the abbreviated version, another poem I wrote called "Dance With Me" better describes how I feel. Great contest and have enjoyed reading the other entries. Namaste.

Like children and birds, we bid them adieu when they leave the nest, but still care for them, such is poetry, well said! I do believe this is a Senryu, since Haiku's are about nature.
