What Poetry Is To Me.

Poetry is the best form of expression.
It's like having a therapy session.
You get out what ever you want to say,
Then move on and feel better the rest of the day.

It might be something trivial or small,
but who cares, we feel it all.
It can be something big, like a story,
and for a second, you relive your glory.

If it is sad, say it your best,
just get it off your chest.
So many things in this world can make you bleed,
Put it in words, its like you've been freed.

A million things in all of us, locked up like a cage,
write it out for us, so we can read it on this page.
It doesn't matter where you're from or who you are,
emotions are universal, they can come from afar.

Some of us use our words as a shield,
then put them down, once we are healed.
This world is full of love and hate,
but in the world of poetry, we do not discriminate.
