-What Once Was

A home once full of family unity

Now echo the days of yesteryear

Togetherness, noise, love and laughter

Slowly disappeared

Replaced by complete emptiness

A quiet so absolute

Filled with only memories

Now, a soulless house ….a hollow mute

and yet I sing and talk to the memories .... a favorite cup, a frayed pillow, a dusty dog bowl, the whispers of loved ones.....Nicely done Deb
