Notes About The Poem

What My Rhymes Express

Sure words of intents pure Lines with rhythmic posture Along God’s great* grandeur Make my rhymes secure! Truths of love will endure In my great rhyme’s pasture Melting failure’s torture Expressing joy-filled cure! Revealing grand future Images of bright culture Move my rhymes’ adventure Employed with faith’s gesture! Planned with pattern-measure Of metrical pleasure Exposing hope’s treasure… My rhymes do so assure!
*Psalm 104:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
