What Me Worry

What, Me Worry?

My wife tends to worry,
She worries a lot
About what she hasn’t
About what she’s got
About what might happen
About what just did
About her grown daughter
Since she was a kid
About what I’m eating
That’s not on my diet
About what I’m not
And why I should try it
About all the bridges
She hasn’t yet crossed
About all her chances
That she fears will be lost
About any weather
She knows soon will change
About any stray dog
She is sure will have mange
About where we’re going
About where we’ve been
About what’s outdated
About what’s still in
But me – I don’t worry
There’s no reason to
My wife does enough
To see us both through
