What Look Got To Do With It

What's Look Got To Do With It? This poem is dedicated to you. Miss. Gorgeous Tina Turner You must comprehend that you turned heads at every corner Of the world, because you were sexy, sassy and indeed classy You were black, bright, beautiful, talented, skillful, and leggy Yes, sure. You must understand that you drove us crazy And our eyes were indeed all over your moves and body. What’s luck got to do with it? You were born a star in Brownsville, Tennessee Your name at birth was Anna Mae Bullock It’s amazing that years later you became the Queen of Rock And Roll. We rolled and danced physically and spiritually We rocked in our mind, not by chance, not by luck And of course, not by third-hand emotion We will miss you. We will miss you in motion. What’s love got to do with it? That’s an incredible exhilaration: the beautiful long legs The silky stockings, the lights, the impulse and the racing pulse Oh! Ooh! That’s too much for the poor heart to handle That’s logical, illogical, physical, mystical and spiritual There’s a new definition for love: the long gorgeous legs We became as hot as you were. Ooh! Listen to the racing pulse. What’s look got to do with it? P.S. Thank you Miss. Turner for the hot ride. May you now rest in Peace!
