What I'Ve Said Not To, I'Ve Done
What I've said not to, I've done;
I've told you not to fall in-love,
Not to give out your heart,
I warned you it would end up broken
Or locked out in coldness.
I know a man who has my heart;
I freely gave it,
I couldn't even wait for him to take it.
I walk singing sad songs,
I walk bleeding from the thorns
Of the roses he used to give,
I walk the most miserable being in existence,
All because I couldn't listen to my words.
