The words in this poem speaks for itself. Skinny is loved more than the one being it. Fat is hated for the number in pounds more than for how it looks on an individual. I have seen beautiful in both body types. I used to hear this saying, “Skinny is in but fat’s where it’s at! Life should not be about being skinny but healthy. That’s right, we should get rid of the word skinny and likewise the word fat, and replace them with the word fit! Let’s get fit!

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE SKINNY 

Skinny jeans and lean cuisines,
long forgotten what skinny means.


WHAT IT MEANS TO BE SKINNY 

Energized and streamlined seams.
Size six fashions no longer daydreams.

A day of shopping, respect redeemed,
Much kinder the world to the skinny it seems.

The Secret on the Vickie scene,
underneath my skinny fashion theme.

But behind the hype I wish I'd seen,
Myself in all it truly means,

I'm loved by God whether fat or skinny, 
Self love isn't missed when there isn't any.

You're still the girl or guy to love.
Starting from your reflection and heavens above.

So choose your endeavors and there are many,
there's much more to life than being skinny.
