What It Is

                       

It isn't what it isn't and it never can be
Thinking otherwise will  lead you astray 
I let you be you and I can only be me

So many things to share you cannot see
I want to see you in a different way
It isn't what it isn't and never can be

Time is always slipping away from me
I can't decide what I now need to convey
I let you be you and I can only be me

All my experiences now a very vast sea
My own heart I promise  not to betray
It isn't what it isn't and it never can be

I hear you sing,, nailed it ,I think with glee
Hoe, girl, and what else will you say
I let you be you and I can only be me

Only one final message I can decree
My feelings grow for you day after day
It isn't what it isn't and it never can be
I let you be you and I can only be me
