What Is White

What is white?

What is white?
Falls from sky
Slip on white
Careful, you’ll fall

What is white
Falls from sky
Cold to touch
Rolls into ball

What is white
Falls from sky,
Covers street,
Car slips, bangs, wall,

What is white
Falls from sky
Covers leaves
Fallen to ground

What is white
Falls from sky
Covers ground
Closes school
Children smile
Mothers frown

What is white?

Noel, what a wonderfully cadenced poem about snow! Very original, unique and good to read! Keep writing more delightful poetry. Panagiota

A cheerful snow poem. I LOVE snow, for I am a grandmother, but I loved it as a mother too. Snow days - hooray! I work at a school. We like them until they get ridiculous and ruin our summer.

I like snow too, so long as you can measure in inches not feet. I enjoyed your snow poem also.
