What Is the Key

Getting the meaning of Scripture right,
Takes time by prayer and planning!
There’s adventure, travel and romance;
The Bible’s well worth scanning.

What is the key that opens the door
of history, theology and prophecy?
Biography and poetry are both there too,
Along with good philosophy.

Jesus gave us His Holy Spirit.
To teach knowledge, wisdom and truth:
It is up to us to apply this,
Ensuring no ends are left loose.

The power of the Word is a magnet,
When delivered in love it brings hope;
Drawing multitudes from disaster,
Giving them new faith to cope!

Me, I feel much less than adequate!
Yet Jesus said, “I’ve chosen you,
To deliver correctly and wisely
The Truth as I’ve taught you to do!”
