What Is Love

I often ask the man in me
If I lost love would I still see
That midnight star that shines so bright
To warm me on the coldest nights
Like an angels tear it brings the rain
To wash my wounds and heal my pain
Such wonder must be heaven sent
And every chance I bathe in it
So is it really fair of me
To question what God’s given thee
Which warms me when I see your face
Yet multiplies when we embrace
And as I watch you in your sleep
Drifting off to somewhere deep
I stay awake till night has left
To make sure you don’t miss a breath
Again I ask the man in me
Just what is love and now I see
That love is pure and always true
Stays by your side so love is you….
